Boxing fans were disappointed once the news filtered through that Dillian Whyte's fight with Otto Wallin on October 30 was called off.

Whyte picked up a shoulder injury in the final stages of his camp, with his team deeming the fight a huge risk if he entered the ring with an injury.

Ak and Barak echoed their dissapointment on the latest episode of The DAZN Boxing Show.

"I thought that we were going to get the best version of Dillian Whyte as well from what I saw in London, seeing him in person, how in shape he looked," Ak said.

"I feel bad for Dillian because of all he has gone through with the WBC being a mandatory for so long, not getting those big title shots, as you know there's been word that he was the next guy in line for Tyson Fury."

"And now we don't know how the extent of the injury or how long before he recovers so who knows when Dillian is gonna be in the ring again."

Now doubts are being cast as to whether Whyte will indeed get his shot at WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury early next year with Wallin unlikely to let Whyte walk straight into a world title fight once he's fully recovered.

"Not only was he missing out on a cheque, but we could have seen Dillian Whyte versus Tyson Fury early next year," Ak went on to say.

Barak made it clear it will come down to the terms of the contract when it comes to whether Whyte can now move onto Fury without facing Wallin.

"I want to know this the contract looks like? Because a lot of the time things like this happen, and then the fight that was supposed to happen doesn't happen," Barak explained.

"One fighter goes on to fight a bigger fight. And like you mentioned, the Fury fight. Maybe this might work out in his favour."

"He gets to fight Fury sometime early next year without even fighting Wallin, because you know, it's not guaranteed that you're going to knock Wallin out in the first half of the fight even though he said he would."
