
DAZN has agreed a multi-year rights partnership with Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC), expanding its global combat sports portfolio.
DAZN will broadcast EFC events free-to-view worldwide*, with EFC widely regarded as Africa’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) organisation.
The partnership launches with EFC 134, which takes place in Johannesburg, South Africa, on June 4.
EFC 134 is headlined by a major women’s flyweight championship bout between reigning champion Amanda “Mad Dog” Lino and challenger Juliet Chukwu of Nigeria. The contest is considered one of the most significant women’s championship fights in African MMA history.
Among the key matchups is a pivotal flyweight contest between Sisa Jungula and Thapelo Seabi. Additional bouts include Tebatso Molele against Zimbabwe’s Lecture Gumbi, alongside contests featuring fighters from South Africa and across the region.
The card highlights the depth of talent emerging from Africa’s mixed martial arts scene.
The preliminary card begins at 3pm local time, with the main card following at 17pm at the World Sports Betting EFC Arena in Johannesburg.
